The pandemic has shown we are only as safe as our most vulnerable people. The virus poses a threat everywhere. Members of our task force found that families in rural villages did not have access to much-needed information on how to protect themselves from contagion. We trained hundreds of volunteers on how to sew masks, properly social distance, how to make hand sanitizer, and the importance of hygiene and sanitation. We installed hand washing stations at our health posts and clinics and public and communal latrines. Students at our Vocational School are currently sewing 5,000 masks to be distributed to the elderly. We will get through this together!
