In 2024, ENA’s Adult literacy and skills training program in Ghana impacts the lives of over 21,000 individuals and families.

ENA’s literacy team has made significant strides in addressing illiteracy. Currently, 5,475 adults are enrolled in our literacy programs, with an additional 2,562 individuals receiving vocational training. Since January, 400 new adults have enrolled in our literacy program. Our commitment to continuous improvement drives us to regularly evaluate and refine our teaching methodologies to ensure our teachers remain relevant, engaging, and impactful. To complement our literacy training, we held workshops on financial literacy, with community members’ active participation in the planning and implementation of this new initiative.

ENA’s vocational trainers conducted five sessions across 15 communities in the Volta, Ashanti, Greater Accra, and Central regions of Ghana, reaching a diverse cross-section of participants. These sessions provided hands-on training to hundreds of entrepreneurial women in soap making, bleach production, after-wash formulation, antiseptic preparation, floor cleaner production, and disinfectant manufacturing, with the goal of building individual economic self-sufficiency.
