During this time of uncertainty, we wanted to reach out to each of you, our ENA family, with confidence and a strong belief that we will make it through this experience and come out stronger and more unified. In our fight to unite together, may we offer a few key guidelines and resources for your health and emotional well-being. The Center for Disease Control encourages us, to do the following:
Protect yourself: Wash your hands often. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
Avoid close contact: Put six feet or two meters between yourself and other people.
Protect others: Stay home. Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze or use the inside of your elbow. Wear a face-mask. Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces daily.
Regarding your emotional well-being, there are many resources available. We highlight a few ideas that may be helpful:
Say informed: Read information from reliable news sources.
Focus: Remind yourself that you are doing your part to minimize the risks by practicing social distancing and keeping your hands and your home clean. Shift your focus from “what-ifs.”
Keep regular routines: Ensure daily your routine involves exercise, regular meals and healthy amounts of sleep. Say connected; check in with children, parents and friends using social media, phones or other technology..
Emphasize the positive: There are silver linings in every crisis—look for them.
