The COVID-19 crisis has shown us we are only as safe as our most vulnerable people. The virus poses a threat everywhere, and to help mitigate the growth of the virus in Ethiopia, ENA launched a task force with our staff and volunteers. Not all people in the rural villages have access to the much-needed information on how to help themselves and their families during this crisis. We are training hundreds of volunteers how to sew their own masks, the importance of social distancing, how to make hand sanitizer at home, and the continued importance of personal hygiene and sanitation. We are also working to install hand washing stations at all of our health posts, health clinics, public latrines, and communal latrines. Our Vocational Training Schools are currently sewing 5,000 masks to be distributed to the elderly as well. We will get through this together.
