Georgina is a 49 year old mother and beneficiary of an ENA micro credit loan. She runs a successful landscaping business that focuses on decorating homes with flowers that beautify the environment. She has been in business for a period of eleven (11) years. She said receiving her $500 GCH (about $125 USD) loan “… has really helped [her] business. I can now buy expensive flowers … and my kids’ (school) fees are being paid with ease.” She can also afford an employee now who helps her care for the flowers. The business training she received from ENA’s required business courses has also helped her run her business more efficiently. She can now price her items with ease because she can now separate her fixed costs from the variable costs. Georgina’s current revenue is $2000 GHC (about $500 USD). Her ultimate goal is to go worldwide! She wants to be seen on televisions and heard on radio so she can tell the world about her beautiful flowers. Her last words of encouragement to people who wants to join ENA were that “… it is a good program for all businesses and also everyone who wants to join must be hardworking since the program requires people who are not lazy but are always determined.” We are proud of your hard work and Georgina and we are so excited that it is paying off! Thank you to everyone who has donated to our micro credit programs. Georgina is just another example of how a small micro credit loan coupled with business training can transform someone’s life! Her business is growing, her profits are increasing and all 4 of her children are now able to attend school! -Adapted from report by David Awusi]]>
