ENA staff was honored to partner with Challenging Heights to host an all day human trafficking training and awareness event in a fishing community on the coast of Ghana. This particular community is very vulnerable to child exploitation and many children in this community are being used as forced labor on Lake Volta. In order to sensitize and educate community members to the dangers their children face, ENA and Challenging heights hosted this successful and well attended event.

IMG_0453 The day began with an all day training on human trafficking and was followed by an anti-human trafficking sensitization and awareness raising event funded by ENA. This event was attended by the entire community, including at risk youth, community leaders, faith leaders and other NGO’s. We presented an outdoor movie featuring a documentary film that provided life changing information to these at risk children and leaders for the first time. Many of these children are unable to read or write, so, being able to teach them via film was very beneficial and highly educational. The event provided new insights to the risks these children face and will help them secure a safer, brighter future. We are grateful to be able to partner with Challenging Heights for this event!  We  have no doubt that it will help prevent human trafficking and save lives within this vulnerable community for many years.
