Engage Now Africa has had quite a year!

Here is a look back at 2013 in numbers…
Ghana 8 new wells constructed. 8,000 people now have access to clean, safe drinking and bathing water for the first time. 160 people enrolled in Engage Now Africa’s literacy program. 3,000 lives improved through micro-credit loans! 21 sponsored students graduated with a technical or vocational degree. 216 students supported and currently enrolled in technical or vocational degree courses. 4 heart surgeries supported and even more already scheduled in 2014 through our recent partnership with Kore-Bu Hospital in Accra.
 
 
 
 
 
Ethiopia 2 new block schools constructed. 5,600 text books donated to students. 217 orphans received donations for school fees, uniforms and school supplies. 8,000 people treated in Engage Now Africa’s health post. 1 High school completed in Shama Laka that is currently providing an education to over 350 students from twelve surrounding villages. 1 new deep water well tapped in Akako. 10,000 people will have access to clean drinking and bathing water for the first time in 2014 when our Akako well is complete. 18 participants joined us on an expedition to the village of Teddecha. While in the village we completed 1 of our new block schools, built 80 student desks and provided over 200 children and orphans in the village with shoes, clothes and school supplies!!
 
 
 
 
Sierra Leone/ Lyn Maternal Clinic 450 babies delivered. 1,614 people helped in the general clinic. 1,055 women received quality prenatal care. 1,503 women received lactation help and instruction. 1,155 immunizations administered to babies, toddlers and children up to five years of age. Engage Now Africa’s Lyn Maternal Clinic had 1 large addition built onto the clinic. The addition will be completely furnished and stocked soon! With your continued support, we will be able to offer health care, triage and a full lab to serve the entire Bo area!
 
 
 
Namibia/Nyangana Hospital 6 students supported and graduated from nursing school. 1,400 students received school supplies at the Nyangana School. Over 1,000 babies delivered at the Nyangana Hospital. 2,000 students sensitized in Engage Now Africa’s youth drama group. 300 individuals taught and trained financial principles through our micro-credit program. 155 children supported and housed in the Catholic hostel for girls. 51,000 people benefited from the Nyangana Hospital Pharmacy. 25,000 women helped in Nyangana Hospital.
