Our goal is to prosecute an additional 100 human traffickers, witchdoctors and slave masters by the end of 2020.
To accomplish this goal, we work with our partners and assist anti-human trafficking police, International law enforcement, and military to locate and arrest all wanted human traffickers, slave masters and witch doctors. We then employ a victim centered prosecution model. Successful prosecutions are challenging; this is because of corruption, ignorance of anti-human trafficking laws, poor evidence collection by police, and lack of resources. Therefore, ENA also focuses on building the capacity of law enforcement and judiciary, so they can be better prepared. ENA’s trainings include hands-on workshops, seminars, working with partners that provide operational briefings, and technical assistance. These tools are essential for law enforcement agencies when it is time to arrest and prosecute traffickers.
